Abstract

This article aims to presents a group experience with children carried out within the scope of the Unified System of Social Assistance (SUAS). The Collective Narrative Practices inspired the intervention and the methodology used was the Tree of Life. The participants were 10 children, aged between 7 and 11 years; three students of the last year of Psychology who were performing the internship in Prevention and Health Promotion with Children and the supervisor of the internship. Four initial visits were made in order to know the service and the children to decide the day and time of the group that had a course of 12 meetings. The involvement of children and the narratives constructed during the meetings point to the relevance of this practice in the social care services as a methodology that stimulates coexistence, rescues the positive aspects of the children's life history, while connecting individual stories enabling the development of a sense of collective strength to face vulnerabilities.
