Abstract

Concerning the hermeneutic circle concept, associated to the German philosophers Heidegger and Gadamer, which subject deals with the connection between the pre-understanding and the local experience, the author formulates some ideas about the therapeutic relationship. The act of talking, while informative or formative, and the significance of words and emotions attached to them are some of these ideas. He concludes with reflection on the contribution of technical languages and professional metaphors in personal shaping; he considers the professional language of pathology as oppressive.
