Abstract

Within the Healthcare Reform, the Primary Health Care (APS) arises, considered to be the entrance and the coordinator for and of the Healthcare Networks, and the Family Health Program (ESF) emerges in order to establish and make this new organization operational. The ESF, based on the understanding of the context in which its community is inserted, on the interdisciplinary work and on the development of an integral and resoluble approach, emphasizes the transition to a complex model. The Program (ESF) works with paradigms that guide the post-modern systemic thinking: the complexity, the instability and the intersubjectivity. This report focuses on the relation between the Family Medicine’s field of action, which occurs especially in the context of the APS, having its person-centered approach and the familiar approach, and the Systemic Family Therapy’s field of action, understanding such approaches as similar in their inclusion of psychosocial issues, context, family and the healthcare professional in the communication model.
